I feel so blessed to be able to just walk out my front door into a field of horses or into the wilderness. The noon painting was on of those days in the summer when I decided it's just too nice outside to paint inside. I gathered my paints and other necessary items to paint in plein aire. I got in the UTV and found a cactus patch that I liked. Parked there and began to paint. My german shepherd stayed right beside me every minute and had just laid down in the grass beside the UTV. All my life I desired a dog who would stick beside me and could be turned loose to roam free with no fears of it running away. All my life in town was filled with dogs who would bolt out the front door and down the street if the were able to squeeze through.
A dog is truly a man's or boy's or woman's or girl's best friend.
It's so fun to paint nature right here on my own property and have a dog stay right beside me the entire time.
Life is good and I am so very thankful.
